Different Citation Styles

If you have questions about how to cite a source please ask for help at the front desk.

APA

APA is a writing style created by the American Psychological Association. This style is preferred by the science and social science discipline.

MLA

MLA is a writing style developed by the Modern Language Association. This style is preferred by the humanities.

 Turabian

The Turabian writing style was created by Kate Turabian, who edited doctorial dissertations for the University of Chicago in the early 1900's.  The history and religion departments at Chowan University use the Turabian style.
